I designed and published my first commercial website last week. The brief was to design an online contact, portfolio and shop for 'Brunty Beads' makers of beautiful homemade beaded jewellery based in Perthshire, Scotland. You can see the finished site here... bruntybeads.co.uk
I had my first hands on look at the new EOS 50D from Canon today and I was very very impressed. The 3" screen (a much needed update) is absolutely amazing. Pin sharp, so useful for checking focus. ISO performance is outstanding and easily betters the D300. Tonal gradation remains sweet as a nut even at ISO 1600 and I couldn't see any noise that would require sorting. Outstanding camera... I'll post some pics and more info tomorrow after i've had a good look at it.
For those of you that experienced Mercury Rev for the first time in the late 90's as I did, your memory will be intertwined with all the joys of being in your late teens/early 20's and not caring at all what they sounded as long as they weren't Oasis or Blur. This gig brought back a lot of those memories but also reaffirmed just how bloddy good MR actually are. They are touring the UK and Ireland over the next few months and I thoroughly recommend go check them out. My favourite from Connect this year... without a doubt!
I was lucky enough to have my camera with me and got some pretty cool shots... see them here on my carbonmade portfolio and here on the Mercury Rev site.
